How did the WCBG start?
Retreat t-shirts were the topic of discussion during a planning meeting between founder, Rob, and Creative Director, Will. The merch company that had offered a donation of the 20 shirts had dropped out and fully ghosted with the retreat only weeks away. Rob + Will snowballed the idea from a one-off DIY project to a full blown lifestyle brand - because that's just what they do.
The more shirts around the world with the Sad Dads Club name, the more grieving fathers that will learn about our group and find a place of support during the worst time of their lives. Wearing the Worst Club clothing could help people around you grieving in silence - it's more than a lifestyle brand - it's a support network.

What is Sad Dads Club?
It began with three friends in Maine, men who formed a strong bond after their daughters were stillborn. Chris, Jay, and Rob found solace in each other, and realized how few resources there are for men grieving their child. Together, they founded SAD DADS CLUB – or the “worst club, best guys.”
Today, SDC has members around the world. We engage virtually, and in-person – both regionally or during larger bi-annual gatherings in Maine. Anything from hikes to sporting events to brewery meet ups over beers and tears.
